1.Die hard

John McTiernan’s howlingly enjoyable romp pared the Eighties action film down to its bare essentials: take one hero (in thiscase, Bruce Willis’s sardonic cop), place in a tight spot (LA's Nakatomi Plaza), season with terrorists, and wait for the bang

2.Captain America civil war

If Marvel does anything better than creating fun action movies, it’s creating dramatic ones. Viewers were on the edge of their seat waiting to see the two superhero camps battle it out, and the film did not disappoint! With a worldwide gross of over 1.13 billion dollars, this is the top-grossing movie of 2016 out of any genre.Captain America: CivilWaris currently streaming on Netflix for those that have not yet seen this exciting film.

3.Enter the dragon
Purists can quibble and say that Bruce Lee was doper before he went big budget Hollywood, butEnter The Dragonhad Jim Kelly, Bolo, and the Master taking on like 50 dudes in the penultimate scene. And no, Bruce Lee don't need no stinkin' "pause."

4.The Terminator
A milestone in the more-action-than-dialogue genre. This Conan comes from the future with amatricidal agenda. Lots of sci-fi too: self-aware global computer network, time traveling and a merciless robot.

5.Transporter 3
Frank Martin has been pressured into transporting Valentina, the kidnapped daughter of Leonid Vasilev, the head of the Environmental Protection Agency for the Ukraine, from Marseilles through Stuttgart and Budapest until he ends up in Odessa on the Black Sea. Along theway, with the help of Inspector Tarconi.

6.Super cop
Supercop remains Chan's all-around best movie, and it's easy to see why: With high-flying, hilariously timed stunts (all performed by the man himself) and impeccable chemistry with fellow kick-and-punch champ Michelle Yeoh, director Stanley Tong's balls-out romp never gets old.

7.The matrix
Breathtaking cyberpunk action with now ubiquitous tropes like slow-motion "bullet time" and mock kung-fu fighting. On second glance, lots of philosophical and even religious food for thought.

8.Seven samurai
It’s the rain-spattered virtuosity of its finalethat sticks in your mind the most, but AkiraKurosawa’s staggering epic revels in the build-up, as Toshiro Mifune and his fellow swordsmen diligently prepare for the fight of their lives.

9.Raiders of the Lost Ark

The first Indy action movie and the best of the Indiana Jones franchise. Full of snakes, Nazis and biblical curses. Archeology was never this much fun

10.Furious 7

Furious 7follows Dominic Toretto(Diesel),Brian O'Conner(Walker) and the rest of their team, whohave returned to the United States to live normal lives after securing amnesty for their past crimes in Fast & Furious 6(2013), until Deckard Shaw (Statham), a rogue special forces assassin seeking to avenge his comatose younger brother, puts the team in danger once again.
