1.World war Z

World War Z is a 2013 American action zombie horror film directed by Marc Forster. "World War Z" plays as if someone watched the similar "28 Days Later" and thought, "That was a good movie, but it would be better if it cost $200 million, there were armies of zombies, and the hero were perfect and played by Brad Pitt

2.Night of the living dead
The Patient Zero of modern zombie movies, Night of the Living Dead was filmed in 1968 on a shoe-string budget by a young filmmaker named George A. Romero. Its tale is lean and mean: after the dead begin to mysteriously rise from their graves,a tiny group of survivors led by Ben Huss (Duane Jones as the first-ever black lead in a horror film) hides within an isolated farmhouse. Bolted inside, they struggle to survive the unceasing attacks of the living dead as long as possible.

3.Land of the dead
George A. Romero’s long-awaited return to his classic zombie series might not rank as his best, but it still has a strong political undercurrent which sets it apart from similar fare. America’s War on Terror is a big inspiration for events here and contributes towards a smarter, more accessible effort than 1985’s Day of the Dead that still ends up as an arguably inferior but great watch nonetheless.

4.Resident evil(2002)
Resident Evil is a 2002 science fiction horror film based on the same titled series of survival horror games developed by Capcom. Borrowing elements from the video games Resident Evil and Resident Evil 2, the film follows an amnesiac heroine Alice, and a band of Umbrella Corporation commandos, as they attempt to escape a secret underground facility that at one time was filled with people but is now overrun with zombies.

5.I am legend
One of the best performance of will Smith. I Am Legend is a 1954 science fiction/horror novel by American writer Richard Mathe son. It was influential in the development of the vampire genre as well as the zombie genre, in popularizing the concept of a worldwide apocalypse due to disease, and in exploring the notion of vampirism as a disease.

6.Shawn of the dead
Shawn of the Dead (2004) is a 1h 39-min British horror comedy that was shot in several locations in London, England, UK with an estimated budget of $6.1 million and grossed over $30 million at the box office. Some of the exterior scenes were shot in/around North London including Crouh
7.Evil dead 3
Army of Darkness (1992) is the final entry in the Evil Dead trilogy. The Evil Dead trilogy is another of my all time favorites even though they had an extremely tight budget with each horror movie. This masterpiece from the director of the Spider-Man franchise Sam Raim.
8.Dawn of the Dead ( 1978 )

Depending on what day you ask me I would say that Dawn of The Dead is either my favorite or second favorite zombie movie of all time behind Night of the Living Dead.
George A Romero was at his finest with his social commentary in this great film where survivors make their way to the bastion of capitalism the mall to wait out the apocalypse.  One of the few people to merge the same level of commentary is Jonathon Levine’s 2013 zombie-romantic-comedy Warm Bodies which is somewhat ironic given its ‘teen’ audience.

9.Day of the Dead

It says something that three of the films on this list are directed by George Romero and a 4th is a remake of one of this. George Romero is clearly still a name that people associate with fantastic filmmaking and his contributions despite all the new zombie movies have not been forgotten.
Day of the Dead takes us underground as a group of rag-tag survivors, soldiers and scientists work towards a cure to zombies and their domestication. Bub the zombie is still an iconic figure to this day.

10.28 Days Later
28 Days Later is a polarizing film and many will scream it is not truly a zombie movie and honestly I am not sure I would disagree other than to point to the definition of  zombie. A zombie is a soulless corpse so if you look at 28 days later and replace the word corpse with ‘soon to be’ you really do have a new and unique spin on a Zombie
